Nonlinear interaction effect on main cable clamp bolts tightening in suspension bridge

چکیده
Elastic interaction effect commonly exists in the assembly of multi-bolted joint. It is defined as loss tension forces some bolts due to progressively tightening neighboring bolts. Main cable clamp a large size bolted joint used suspension bridge. Investigation on bolt has seldom been reported. This article presents field experiment study tightening. In experiment, three types and sequences were included. Then, finite element models considering actual nonlinear transverse compressed behaviour main cables devised simulate procedures, thus providing an effective numerical tool understand The experimental results provide validations for subsequent studies, showing that modeling method can effectively predict deformation residual force Moreover, efficiency different sequeces are discussed based results. Conclusions be drawn clamps with much longer length more rows bolts, degree tends higher. side-to-centre sequence than centre-to-side sequence.

Construction of Nagisa Bridge Hybrid System of Cable-stayed Pc Bridge and Steel Suspension Bridge
Nagisa Bridge, a single span footbridge, was recently completed in Aomori prefecture, Japan. The structure of this bridge is a hybrid structure of cable-stayed prestressed concrete bridge and steel suspension bridge. It is the first application as this structure type of bridge in the world. Concrete girders near pylons are supported by stay cables. Steel girders are supported by suspension cabl...
متن کاملOn Nonlinear Oscillations in a Suspension Bridge System
In this paper, we study nonlinear oscillations in a suspension bridge system governed by two coupled nonlinear partial differential equations. By applying the Leray-Schauder degree theory, it is proved that the suspension bridge system has at least two solutions, one is a near-equilibrium oscillation, and the other is a large amplitude oscillation.
متن کاملGeometric Nonlinear Analysis of Self-Anchored Cable-Stayed Suspension Bridges
Geometric nonlinearity of self-anchored cable-stayed suspension bridges is studied in this paper. The repercussion of shrinkage and creep of concrete, rise-to-span ratio, and girder camber on the system is discussed. A self-anchored cable-stayed suspension bridge with a main span of 800 m is analyzed with linear theory, second-order theory, and nonlinear theory, respectively. In the condition o...
متن کاملFinite time blow-up in nonlinear suspension bridge models
This paper settles a conjecture by Gazzola and Pavani [10] regarding solutions to the fourth order ODE w(4) + kw′′ + f (w) = 0 which arises in models of traveling waves in suspension bridges when k > 0. Under suitable assumptions on the nonlinearity f and initial data, we demonstrate blow-up in finite time. The case k ≤ 0 was first investigated by Gazzola et al., and it is also handled here wit...
متن کاملeffect of foundation depth on seismic response of the cable-stayed bridge by considering of soil structure interaction
post failure analysis of massive structure infers that soil-structure interaction (ssi) is a crucial phenomena influencing seismic response of massive structures. cable-stayed bridge’s popularity and numbers are increasing now-a-days because of economical longer span & aesthetic good look. the current paper examines the effect of depth of foundation on seismic response of cable-stayed bridg...
